Letter to the Editor: Very Special Thank You

Dear Editor:
A very special thank you to theMertztown, Topton, Fleetwood, Kutztown and Blandoncommunity.

In late April this past year, our son, Shane, experienced a very seriousbrain injury that caused him to be hospitalized for the past few months.

He is now out of the hospital and on the road to recovery.

It is with much gratitude and appreciation that we thank all those whodonated, financially and with time and efforts, toward helping usthrough this very trying time. Words cannot express how grateful weare for all of the thoughts, prayers, and support we received during thismost difficult period in our lives.

We feel so honored to be part of acommunity that came together and provided such support with verygenerous donations, gifts, and cards and we are humbled by thethoughtfulness we received. Your actions are the epitome of generosityand have allowed us to focus on what really matters…Shane’s recovery.

Shane is now doing outpatient therapy and is making progress daily.

We are so happy to have him back home and are overjoyed to see himgetting back to his old self.

Again, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank all those whocontributed.
