Dear Editor:
Thank you so much for all your publication has done to promote the Lyons Fiddle Festival. Your efforts have contributed to producing the recorded crowd, this past Sunday.

I’m sure you have a bunch of excellent photos of the festival. Please consider this one for publication. It is very historic and features a ton of info only a long time festival fan would know. Everyone is experiencing the high of the festival, but in this photo are very important things that contributed to the festival popularity and endurance. On the right is former Lyons resident, Arlan R. Schwoyer. It was his dream in 1983 to start the festival and indeed he and his family produced the festival for 23 years. In the background is Robert McIntyre, Birdsboro. McIntyre is the only person to compete in all 29 fiddle contests. On the left is WEEU radio personality, ‘East Side’ Dave Kline who is congratulating Schwoyer for all he has done to preserve the true bluegrass and fiddle music for generations to come. Schwoyer can take credit for producing the festival which generated the career of Travis Wetzel (first winner of the fiddle contest). Travis now appears with Jesse McReynolds and on the Grand Ole Opry.

This photo is a one in a lifetime opportunity and the information says so much and gives credit where credit is due.
