Letter to the Editor: God will bless or curse this nation

Dear Editor;
I must respond to the vote taken at the DNC convention on taking the mention of God and the reference to Jerusalem being the capitol of Israel out of the 2012 platform. If you watched the vote it was evident that the vote was two thirds for the passage of it and also evident was how they openly tried to cove it up. As a past Democrat, for a short time until the Democratic Party adopted a more socialist platform, I was appalled to see a once proud party of the working man now catering to the mindset of the people who represented that disturbing vote.

I gave this some thought and was reminded of a quote of Charles Finney, “God will bless or curse this nation according to the course Christians take in politics.” That is an accurate quote but it certainly doesn’t only apply to Christians, it applies to all that keep and cherish laws of this Republic, founded and built on Judeo Christian principles.

Also at the convention was Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Chair of the DNC who was caught in an obvious lie relating to the Israeli Ambassador and was an embarrassment to the party, as she tried to cover it up?

Now, lets look at Pelosi and Biden’s integrity, or perhaps they don’t understand what their faith in Catholicism entails: following Scripture, tithing etc.? They claim to be Catholics and then support the president that votes for the killing of a baby that survives abortion. I can assure you that no “true practicing Catholic” would accept that. This is only one very important factor of many. Are they what they say they are or could they be unintentionally leaning towards hypocrisy? Is it evident they are trying to deceive us again?

While we are on the subject of abortion, and I am not using the word casually because to many others and me it isn’t just “abortion,” it is murder. When a baby survives abortion, it is a living human being, reaching out it’s little arms for help as “the Doctor is allowed to kill that life. Let’s not be deceived and lied to, our laws constitute this as murder. Again I am appalled that the “new” Democratic Party’s platform has become the party of death from birth to death and will become more so as the rationing of health care moves on and also affects seniors, more and more. You decide?

Moving on to three lawyers, two have surrendered their law license. Why? I also wanted to remind all, that Michelle Obama stated that she was ashamed of America her entire adult life until the nation elected her husband President. Really! She was never proud of her country in 48 years, that by no means was a quick change of heart. Most of us would sincerely hope the majority of Americans have always been proud of their country, especially those of us that have lost loved ones in defense of this great Nation under God that have given her the right to speak those words.

And who can forget among many other things, the President that proclaims to be Christian, stating in his book “Dreams of my Father,” “If the political winds turn ugly, I will stand with the Muslims.” Was he lying when he called himself a Christian or just changeable when the situation calls for it? I also recall an interview in 2008, where he stated, “If Jesus were alive today, He would agree with abortion.” Can any Christian “or anyone understanding Scripture” agree with that one? I also have one more news flash for Mr. Obama; Christians believe Jesus is the living God.

Now, let’s all think on this one. The good old boy, Bill Clinton, found in contempt by a federal judge for “lying” under oath and he was subsequently disbarred for ethical violations. But, he was smart enough to enchant and out-fox a Nation and escape jail as he perjured himself before the world. Who can forget that finger he pointed at the nation and stated, “I did not have sex with that woman, not once, not ever” we know that that was a lie. Now he stands before the DNC, and again points his finger at the nation and exclaims, “Ignore all I said against Obama four years ago, I fabricated it all, I now say, vote for him. Do we dare to believe him; can we believe any of them?

One simple phrase this “new” Democratic Party should think about, “You can keep feeding a man a fish to keep him alive but teach him how to fish and he can feed himself.” Somehow this administration seems to ignore the wisdom of that phrase. Could it be, because this keeps them in control of the “followers and ill informed”?

It is important that we look at the mindset of the people that this administration’s advertisements and ads are trying to reach. I am almost embarrassed to say, some are men and women that dress up in pink as giant vaginas to support women’s rights, and those that act like animals that defecate on police cars, break laws, destroy public and personal property etc. You decide on those facts?

I have looked back on how many times I have used the word “deceiver” in writing this, and thought it may have a sort of code word to why our country is in dire need to return to “one Nation Under God.” We “are” being deceived.
