Artist Michael Albert visits Kutztown High School

Artist Michael Albert visited the art room at Kutztown Area High School on Sept. 24.

He conducted a workshop on collage POP ART and described his journey as an artist. After viewing his artistic development through the years students were encouraged to make their own original designs.

Students created original collages from cereal,cracker,and other commercial packages collected in the weeks before his visit. He gave away several autographed posters to students and staff with such themes as; The Pledge of Allegiance,The Gettysburg Address , PI and The Merchant Of Venice “Quality of Mercy” speech.

We really enjoyed his visit and hope that he will visit again. Special thanks go out to Mrs. Beidelman for her support.
