As the 15th seed in the District 3-AA girls’ soccer tournament, even getting one win would be a major upset for the Brandywine Heights Lady Bullets. They did that Oct. 23 when they defeated second-seeded Greencastle-Antrim, 1-0.

They then followed that up with a 2-1 double overtime victory over 10th-seeded Elco. That sent them to the semifinals on Nov. 1 against sixth-seeded Northern York. The run came to an end when Northern York shutout Brandywine, 3-0. The Polar Bears scored all three goals in the first half, getting goals from three different scorers.

Northern York outshot Brandywine, 8-5, as Courtney Moyer made five saves in goal for the Bullets.
